one of the best laughs i had was about 5 years ago when some idiot in north QLD posted that there was such a bad storm outside it had knocked out the power, phone etc and the internet....when somebody asked him how the hell he was posting then he just disappeared....lol

That was the 'guy'  that hauled his own satelite dish round the bush  wasn't it hahahaha . laughs for real!!

OK I'll bite... The next G phone towers all have UPS (uninterrupted power supply, a battery bank and inverter), and they work for 2 days before dropping out. Happened in Larry, happened in Yasi, will happen every second year or so...

I reckon Yahoo has declined over the time, there honestly isnt the same diversity or humour as before. It might get better, my bet is they'll try and get people to use their real names, and like the local rag there will be an explosion of Smiths. I think the dozen or so unpleasant nutters are happy with it, Yahoo seems to accomodate their wants and needs.

I know I know I know...raises her hand calling out..

The what's for dinner threads. People worked long long days at really big  hard jobs, yet each day they came home to prepare a more elaborate meal  (more courses) than the one posted before them... and all before I'd desfrosted chicken breasts in the microwave ha ha. Ok not all but many :)
